Edmond is the deuteragonist in Rock-a-Doodle. He is the youngest of three sons of a farmer and his wife who has to stay in the house during a storm, while his older brothers, Scott and Mark, are helping their parents out in the storm. Toby Scott Ganger did both his live-action human portrayal, and the voice for his cat form. Though Edmond never sang in the film or the credits, he does take part in the soundtrack version of "Tyin' Your Shoes".

Personality

Role in Film

During the events, Edmond was originally a human. When his parents' farm begins to flood from a storm, he calls to Chanticleer who he reads about in a book. Instead, the Grand Duke of Owls appears and decides to eat him, and turns him into a kitten to do so. However, Patou stops the Owl and rescues Edmond. When the other Farm Animals arrive in his bedroom, Edmond hears (and believes) that Chanticleer is in the city and travels with a few others in a boat made out of a toy chest to find Chanticleer and bring him home.

While in the beginning, since he was being easily scared and not able to do much, Edmund begins to mature throughout the movie and stands up to the Owls. In the end, he is turned back into a human where his mother convinces him that the events were a dream. When Chanticleer suddenly appears, this is proven false.

Edmond spends most of the events as a kitten though he still wears clothing he finds in his bedroom.
